Charity Projects
Dare to Care is a community development and services center founded by The Faith Center, Inc. which is a strategic partner with Dare to Care. It has two primary initiatives during the year. The first is to provide needed groceries to more than 600 families each week. Our mission is to address the food insecurities in South Florida by distributing food every Saturday to residents of Broward County experiencing food insecurity. The second is our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. This event has a goal of providing groceries for Thanksgiving dinner to over 3,000 local residents annually.
Foundation & Events
Dare to Care serves between 370 to 400 families every week who are Broward County residents who meet Farm Share, Feeding South Florida & Gateway requirements. If you reside in Lauderhill or within Broward County, please visit us. We are here to help. Once a year during the Thanksgiving season, Dare to Care hosts a Thanksgiving Drive. Each year the number of families we have served has increased. In 2022 we provided turkeys and bags of groceries to over 3,000 families. Join us in our efforts, volunteer, donate groceries, and help us make this bigger and better.

FOOD BANK DONORS
Farm Share is Florida’s homegrown food bank. Founded for and by Floridians, Farm Share has been serving those under food insecurity since 1991 with the simple but innovative idea to recover crops from Florida farmers in order to distribute fresh and nutritious food to Floridians in need. 30 years after our inception they have fed millions and are now Florida’s largest independent food bank!
Farm share programs provide a direct link between local farmers and consumers by allowing members to purchase a share of a farmer’s crop before it is grown each season. … Each week during the season, the farmer delivers a share of great-tasting, healthful food to predetermined locations, where members pick it up.
Feeding South Florida is the largest, most efficient food bank serving Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties. More than 98% of all donations are put back into the community.
Through innovative direct-service programs and a network of nonprofit partner agencies, Feeding South Florida distributed nearly 176 million pounds of food (146 million meals) last year to over 1.4 million individuals.
